Film Synopsis

Trains' is a found-footage documentary built entirely from archive footage and sound design, creating a collective portrait of people in 20th-century Europe. A train compartment becomes a space where individuals are briefly removed from their everyday lives, accompanied by hope or its absence. The film traces recurring historical cycles as railway carriages fill with soldiers, evacuees, prisoners, and ordinary passengers across decades of conflict.
