Film Synopsis

In 'Greetings from Rhodes', tourists lie carelessly on a beach while the island burns around them. Director Viera Cakanyova uses irony and kitsch to explore humanity's capacity for denial. Realistic comments from holidaymakers and glossy travel advertisements combine into a tragicomic scene that questions how far people will go to sustain the illusion of leisure while crisis unfolds in plain sight.
