Film Synopsis

Birds settle on a rope in the open sky, chirping and calling to one another. When the sounds of helicopters, marching soldiers, and fighter jets fracture the peace, fear spreads through the flock and they scatter. One bird, shot and struggling, returns to a broken rope and works to repair it with its beak, piece by piece, until others slowly return. 'The Rope' is a wordless meditation on war, destruction, and the painstaking work of rebuilding peace.
