Film Synopsis

17th Year' is a tender coming-of-age story of Baban, a teenage boy in rural Maharashtra. When a new family moves in next door as tenants, Baban begins respectfully addressing the young married woman as 'Vahini' (sister-in-law). Over time, his innocent admiration for her gentle nature slowly transitions into a confusing, unspoken desire. As he witnesses love, longing, and loss within the walls of an old mansion, Baban experiences his first emotional and sensual awakening—marking the end of childhood and the bittersweet beginning of youth.
