The session will explore the symbiotic relationship between documentary filmmaking and corporate branding. With participants from various industry verticals, like FICCI, the discussion will explore how documentaries can be powerful tools for brand enhancement and CSR promotion. Documentary films offer brands a unique medium to communicate their values and commitment to social issues, engaging
stakeholders, fostering public trust, and driving meaningful social change. The conversation will also discuss the challenges of producing impactful films and the metrics for measuring success in terms of brand perception and social impact. The session aims to inspire companies to harness the power of documentary filmmaking as a catalyst for positive societal impact and enhanced brand loyalty.

Jesper Andersen is a Master of Arts and has been with the Danish Film Institute since 1990 and as curator at the DFI/Cinematheque in Copenhagen from 1998. He has also worked as film consultant for the Nordic Council of Ministers and has written extensively on Danish, Scandinavian and international cinema and film culture. Jesper Andersen has arranged several Indian film seasons in Copenhagen, the latest being Indian Indies – Bollywood and Beyond which presented 25 new Indian films in August/September 2013. He has also curated retrospectives of Tamil cinema and films by Mani Ratnam. He is the director of the festival East by Southeast, which focuses on Central and Eastern European cinema.
